So many South African children do not have access to high-quality education – especially in subjects that feed into Science, IT, Engineering and Mathematics career. PROTEC Pietermaritzburg Academy provides this quality of enrichment education for disadvantaged children in Grade 8 – 12. Our aim is to provide students with expert teaching and tuition in core subjects that will empower them to pursue tertiary education in fields of their choice.
Our focus on STEM subjects ensures that learners are equipped to pursue careers as engineers, scientists, doctors, educators and entrepreneurs. At PROTEC PMB we also focus strongly on building self-confidence and preparing students for tertiary education. Emphasis is placed on career guidance in order to guarantee that students are informed and empowered to follow their dreams.

Focus on Science, Maths and Engineering
English is taught and practiced in preparation for Matric exams and tertiary study.
Students pass matric and go on to complete University degrees.
Graduates earn scholarships and internships.
We are a fully registered non-profit company (NPC), non-profit organisation (NPO) and public benefit organisation (PBO). We are independently assessed and audited annually.
